EM3 AgriServices launches a mobile
app through which farmers in Madhya Pradesh can place orders for renting farm
equipment and services, with a built in option of paying online via the payment
wallet.
The company also plans to increase its Samadhan Kendras which provide
agricultural farm equipment and services such as tractors, soil analysis,
seedbed preparation, sowing, fertilizer application, weed/pest control,
harvesting and post-harvest operations.
Currently they have 10 such centres
in the Madhya Pradesh which they plan to expand to 100 by end of 2017 through
the franchise route. In Gujarat, the company has been working with potato
farmers in partnership with McCain Foods (India)- manufacturers of French fries
and potato specialties.
The Chairman, EM3 AgriServices,
Rohtash Mal said that by leveraging internet technology, mobile telecom
services, financial services and cloud technologies we will significantly
increase our reach of farm mechanization and enable digital empowerment of the
farmers in Madhya Pradesh.
“Our pay per use model enables
farmers to deploy mechanization technology without any investments in the
asset.These measures will increases their farm output and prosperity and will
lead to the inclusive growth of the nation", he added.
As per industry estimates, farm mechanization is expected to cut cultivation cost by 25% and raise productivity by 20% and will be critical in boosting farmers' income, said Mal.
